This DirEqual Pro app works as stated and more. I needed to compare files in 2 directories and the file and size. One is on a stick, and the other is on the MAC. It has ten selections, and you can select the type of files. In addition, when clicking on a file, the file’s directory opens so you can see the file and its folder. I’ve used complicated compare utilities, and this one got to the point, and I did not need to waste time figuring it out. However, I may have been able to use DirEqual Pro, the free when a program works and is reasonably priced. I gladly paid for it. Good job Naarak Studio/DirEqual.
I recently made a Finder backup of a 600+GB folder and received a message saying that not everything was copied due to not having the correct permissions. So, I ed this app and compared the source versus destination folders. The application was intuitively designed, quick to run, and very clear in displaying results. I did not use the “Compare file contents” option, so I’m not reviewing how that works but just making a folder comparison. I can tell you that it’s beneficial and accurate.
